What to Know Before Using a Sewing Machines Plus Coupon
Sewing Machines Plus sells sewing, quilting and embroidery machines from brands such as Brother, Baby Lock, Bernina and Handi Quilter, along with thread, needles and notions. Not every machine qualifies for a coupon, so it’s worth checking before you buy.
We tried a 10% coupon on several products. It brought a Brother ScanNCut SDX325 down from $899.99 to $810 and also worked on a $99.99 starter kit. But the same code didn’t work on a Baby Lock Jazz II.
Sewing Machines Plus also excludes Janome, Miele and Reliable products, Melco embroidery machines, certain Juki models and gift certificates from coupon discounts.
Finding the Discount Box at Sewing Machines Plus
In the cart, click Discount under Special instructions to open the coupon field. Enter your code and click Apply.
At checkout, you’ll find the Discount code or gift card field below your items. On mobile, open Order summary or tap Add discount to enter a code. You can try different coupons to see which saves more, but only one can be applied to an order.
Coupons can’t be used with financing, according to the notice below the discount field.
The thread, needle, Singer and Brother codes listed on the store’s own coupon page were all rejected when we tried them, so look at your total before paying.

Coupon Code or 0% Financing?
Sewing Machines Plus makes you choose between a code and its longer no-interest plans. On the Sewing & More credit card, equal-payment plans run 18 months on orders over $4,000, 24 months over $6,000, 36 months over $8,000 and 60 months over $15,000, and none of them can be combined with a code.
On a big purchase, the difference adds up. Our 10% code took $499.90 off a $4,999 Handi Quilter Simply Sixteen, so if you can pay in full, the code saves more. If you’d rather spread the cost, you’ll have to skip the code.
The store’s financing page says its 6- and 12-month deferred-interest plans can be used with a code, but its policy page says codes can’t be used on any financed order. Check with the store before counting on both.
Are Factory Serviced Machines a Good Deal?
Some of the store’s biggest discounts are on factory-serviced and open-box machines. When we checked, a factory-serviced Necchi K132A cost less than half its $449 regular price, an open-box Baby Lock Flare was $2,069.10 instead of $4,499, and a Bernina 750E was $3,999 instead of $7,799.
The Necchi took our 10% code as well, which brought it to $179.10.
Trade-Ins, Price Matching and Guild Discounts at Sewing Machines Plus
Military
Service members, veterans, spouses and dependent children can apply for 15% off online orders. Approved shoppers get a personal code that works on every order.
Teachers
K-12 and college teachers, home school teachers and licensed childcare providers can apply for the same discount.
Sewing guilds
Active members of a US sewing guild can apply, and the code can be shared with the whole guild.
Referrals
You get a gift card worth $10 to $60, depending on the size of your friend’s first order.
Trade-ins
Send the trade-in form for a quote, and the credit goes toward a new in-stock machine.
Price match
If an authorized dealer lists the same new item for less, the store matches the delivered price, and it refunds the difference as store credit for 30 days after you buy.
Machine extras
A Sewing Essentials Package costs $99 when added to a new machine, compared with $129.99 on its own. Some machines also come with a gift, such as a rolling tote with the Brother ScanNCut SDX325, and longarms include a free one-year protection plan.

Frequently Asked Questions About Sewing Machines Plus
Can I use the military or teacher discount with another code?
No. The military, teacher and guild discounts come as coupon codes, and Sewing Machines Plus allows only one per order. These discounts also can’t be used with 0% APR financing or on orders containing items shipped by LTL freight.
Can I add a coupon code to an order I’ve already placed?
No. Sewing Machines Plus doesn’t apply coupon codes to previous orders, so make sure you enter yours before completing checkout.
What happens if a code goes through on a minimum-price machine?
The store may call you. Some brands set minimum advertised prices, and Sewing Machines Plus says you’re likely to hear from its team if you use a code on one of those machines. The discount may not be honored, so check the excluded brands in its promotions policy before ordering.
Can I use a price match and a coupon code together?
No. Sewing Machines Plus doesn’t combine price matching with other promotional offers or financing. If another authorized dealer lists the same new item for less, compare the matched price with what you’d pay using your coupon and choose the better deal.
