When SkyTrak Golf Simulators Go On Sale and How Big the Discounts Get
We’ve tracked SkyTrak’s sales since 2023, and the timing isn’t quite what you might expect. Black Friday has produced the biggest discounts on studio packages, but the launch monitor itself has been cheaper during the summer and late-summer sales. Once a model is replaced, the closeout pricing goes lower again.
The size of the discounts has changed over time too. Through 2024, $300 to $500 off the current launch monitor was typical. From mid-2025, four-figure discounts became much more common.
The historical prices in this guide were checked against SkyTrak's product pages, sale pages and company announcements.
If you’re shopping now, our SkyTrak discount code page has the current sale price, active offers and any available codes.
What SkyTrak’s sale history tells us
The single most useful thing to know is that the age of the model has mattered more than the holiday. Both launch monitors we’ve followed started with a fairly small cut around their first Black Friday, and the discounts got bigger from there. The ST MAX was $500 off at its first Black Friday and $1,300 off within a year of pre-orders opening. The SkyTrak+ had done the same thing a year earlier.
Studio packages work differently. SkyTrak takes a flat amount off the whole package, and that amount has usually been bigger than the cut on the launch monitor inside it. That’s why the best bundle deal can turn up in a sale that does very little for the unit on its own.
Memberships are the newest part of the picture. SkyTrak didn’t discount them at all until Black Friday 2025. After that, most of the big hardware sales came with a membership offer attached, and the bundled ones, a free or half-price plan with an ST MAX, have been worth a lot more than a straight percentage off.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Black Friday is SkyTrak’s most reliable sale, but it hasn’t meant the lowest price on everything.
2023. SkyTrak’s first Black Friday as a direct seller was branded a Holiday Sale. The SkyTrak+ came down $300 to $2,695, both studio packages were $1,000 off, and enclosures and accessories were 25 percent off. The product pages ran a Cyber Monday countdown.
2024. This was the year of the big bundle deal. The Studio Pro dropped from $6,995 to $4,795, a $2,200 cut and still the largest discount SkyTrak has put on any single product since 2023. The launch monitor was less clear-cut. SkyTrak’s November 22 post promised $600 off the SkyTrak+, but the product page showed $500, at $2,495, the whole way through. We’ve kept both figures since they came from SkyTrak. The deadline was soft too: the Studio Pro page said the deal ended December 3, and the homepage was still showing the same price eight days later under a Holiday Sale banner.
2025. The sale ran from November 26 to December 2 and was the first one for the ST MAX, which got the smallest cut in the store. SkyTrak took $500 off it and put the real money on the outgoing SkyTrak+, at $1,100 off. Every ST MAX and ST+ studio package was $600 off, and memberships went on sale for the first time, at up to 25 percent. Two weeks after Cyber Monday the ST MAX was back at $2,995, while the studio and membership discounts rolled on under an End of Year Deals banner.
Spring and Father’s Day sales
Spring has been the weakest time to buy a launch monitor on its own, even though the studio packages have done well in the same sales.
2024 and 2025. The Father’s Day discount on the SkyTrak+ was $300 in 2024 and just $200 in 2025, the smallest cut on the current launch monitor in either year. The studios were a different story, at $1,000 to $2,000 off. Spring 2025 also brought a change that outlasted the sale itself: SkyTrak lowered the SkyTrak+ list price from $2,995 to $2,495 ahead of the ST MAX.
2026. SkyTrak added a Season Opener sale in March, announced as $500 off the ST MAX and every studio package. The studio discount showed up on the site the next day; the launch monitor discount took its time. By early May the studios were $1,000 off and the ST MAX was $2,495, and memberships had joined in, first with half off Elite when you bought an ST MAX and later with an extra 10 percent off the plans.
Father’s Day 2026 was the first spring sale to take more than $500 off the current launch monitor. The ST MAX dropped to $2,195, the Premium and Ultimate studio packages were $1,000 off, and the OG Golf Simulator Package, the original SkyTrak paired with a studio, was $600 off.
Summer and End of Summer sales
If it’s the launch monitor you’re after rather than a full studio, this is the part of SkyTrak’s year that matters most.
2024. A quick flash sale in mid-July took $500 off the SkyTrak+. The End of Season Sale in September was smaller on the unit, at $300 off, although the Studio Pro was discounted by as much as $1,300. That sale ended on September 15.
2025. The Summer 7-Day Sale in July is where the discounts changed gear. SkyTrak cut the SkyTrak+ to $1,995, a full $1,000 below its original $2,995 price, and called it the lowest price ever for the model. The original SkyTrak dropped to $895, and the new Standard, Premium and Ultimate studios were each $500 off. Those prices lasted about a week, but SkyTrak brought the $1,995 SkyTrak+ back for its September End of Season Sale and held it there through the following year.
2026. Deal Days in July took $1,000 off the ST MAX and its studio packages, the first four-figure cut on the model, with memberships around 20 percent off. September went further. The End of Summer Sale took $1,300 off the ST MAX and the same off all three studios, dropped the original SkyTrak to $695, and threw in a free year of Core (FS) with any ST MAX.
Line the three Septembers up and the direction is clear. The September discount on the current launch monitor went from $300 in 2024 to $1,000 in 2025 to $1,300 in 2026. Nobody can say whether that continues, but it makes July and September worth weighing against Black Friday rather than waiting for November by default.
Closeouts and model changes
Some of the lowest SkyTrak prices haven’t come from a holiday sale at all. They came after a new model launched and the old one moved into closeout.
| Model | Original list price | Lowest new price on record* | Certified pre-owned price* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Original SkyTrak | $1,995 | $695 | $495 |
| SkyTrak+ (ST+) | $2,995 | $1,895 | $895 |
| ST MAX | $2,995 | $1,695 | $1,195 |
*Prices as listed by SkyTrak through September 2026. Certified pre-owned figures are listed prices at the time and may not reflect current pricing or availability.
The original SkyTrak had lost roughly half its list price within eight months of the SkyTrak+ turning up on the site. The SkyTrak+ went the same way: its $1,995 summer 2025 price was still in place that September, about six weeks before ST MAX pre-orders opened, and Black Friday 2025 briefly took it lower, to $1,895.
Certified pre-owned units went lower again, and at the September 2026 prices the gap was wide. The trade-off is the warranty, 90 days against six months or 25,000 shots on a new unit, and the refurbished listings sell out from time to time. If the model you want has just been replaced, check its closeout price and the pre-owned listing side by side with whatever discount SkyTrak is advertising on the new one.
Trading in a SkyTrak+
SkyTrak has also offered trade-in credit toward the ST MAX, applied at checkout rather than paid out, with a Core (FS) membership included:
For an ST+ bought within the previous 90 days.
For an earlier purchase with proof.
Without proof of purchase.
Trade-in terms can change on their own schedule, so check the current ones before you decide between trading in and selling the old unit yourself.
Memberships and bundles
Membership pricing has changed almost as much as the hardware:
Annual plans at $99.95 and $199.95.
$129.95 and $249.95.
Essential $129.95, Course Play $220.
Essential $129.99, Core (FS) $299.99, Elite $599.99.
Essential down to $99.99, Core (TM) added at $349.99.
From Black Friday 2025 on, most of the big hardware sales came with a membership offer, usually a percentage off an annual plan or a plan bundled with the launch monitor. The bundled ones have been the deals worth having: half off Elite with an ST MAX in March 2026, and a free year of Core (FS) with the ST MAX in the spring and late-summer sales that year.
Don’t judge a studio sale by the launch monitor discount
From mid-2025 SkyTrak has generally taken a flat amount off all three studio tiers, and at most sales that amount matched or beat the discount on the launch monitor itself. The exceptions were the two summer sales of 2025, when the SkyTrak+ was $1,000 off but the studios only $500. A big cut on the unit doesn’t automatically make it the moment to buy the whole setup, so compare the final package price rather than the headline.
Discount codes, financing and other ways to save
None of the sale prices in this guide needed a code; SkyTrak puts them straight on the product page. Codes are for the extras, and whether one can be used on top of a sale depends on its terms at the time.
Up to 7 percent off for military, first responders and educators, as a single-use code, one per day.
10 percent off for a referred friend.
Sign-up advertised at 10 percent off.
Credit toward an ST MAX, delivered as a code by email.
Financing, shipping and membership perks change without the hardware price changing, which is why this guide sticks to the sale history. If you’re weighing SkyTrak against other simulator and equipment brands, our Sports & Outdoors coupons page shows what each of them is running.
When is the best time to buy a SkyTrak?
Decide what you’re buying first, then pick the sale.
- For the launch monitor on its own, July and September are the first sales we’d compare. In 2025 and 2026 they both beat the nearest Black Friday on the unit.
- For a full studio package, Black Friday has been the one to beat, and the final package price is the number to compare.
- For an older model, look in the months after its replacement launches, and check the certified pre-owned listing alongside the closeout price.
- Whatever you buy, compare the final price with what SkyTrak charged for the same model at earlier sales, not with the number on the banner.
Frequently Asked Questions
When does SkyTrak have sales?
Roughly six times a year. There’s a Black Friday to Cyber Monday sale, an end-of-year sale that follows it, a spring or Father’s Day sale, a July sale and one in early September. They aren’t all the same size, and the one worth waiting for depends on what you’re buying.
Is Black Friday the best time to buy a SkyTrak?
Depends what you’re buying. For a full studio package, yes: SkyTrak’s biggest bundle discount to date, $2,200 off the Studio Pro, was a Black Friday deal. For the launch monitor on its own, no. In 2025 and 2026 the July and September sales both beat Black Friday on the unit, so if that’s all you want, don’t assume November is the moment.
How big a discount should I expect on a SkyTrak?
Bigger than it used to be. Through 2024, a SkyTrak sale meant $300 to $500 off the launch monitor. From the summer of 2025 the cuts jumped: $1,000 off the SkyTrak+ that July, and between $500 and $1,300 off the ST MAX in its first year. Once a model is replaced, it drops well below any of that.
Do SkyTrak memberships go on sale?
Yes, but only recently. SkyTrak didn’t discount a membership until Black Friday 2025. Most hardware sales after that have included one, and the bundled offers, a free year of Core or half off Elite with an ST MAX, have been worth far more than the 10 or 20 percent off the plans on their own.
Do I need a SkyTrak discount code to get the sale price?
No. SkyTrak puts the sale price straight on the product page. Codes are for the extras: the GovX discount for military and first responders, referrals, the newsletter sign-up and trade-in credit. Whether any of those work on top of a sale price comes down to the terms of that particular offer.
Is a refurbished SkyTrak a better deal than buying new during a sale?
Usually, if the price is what matters. SkyTrak’s certified pre-owned units have been listed below even the lowest sale price on the same model new. The catch is the warranty, 90 days instead of six months, and the pre-owned listings sell out, so you can’t always count on one being there.
