What to check before you book
Check the booking discount, package pricing, added costs, and refund flexibility before you pay, especially if your plans are not fully firm yet.
Xel-Há gives 10% off when admission is booked 7 to 20 days in advance and 15% off when it is booked 21 days or more in advance.
The 20% discount applies to combinations of 2 or more parks or tours. That is a separate savings route from the single-ticket advance-purchase discount, so compare the two instead of assuming they stack.
The total also reflects the advance-purchase discount, optional transportation, and an added assistance charge.
Cancellations made more than 2 days before arrival lose 10% as an administrative fee. From 2 days before arrival through the visit date, and for no-shows, the booking is non-refundable.
Xel-Há allows date changes within 365 days after purchase, but not on the same day and not within 24 hours of the visit unless the bad-weather guarantee applies. A date change can also come with a price adjustment.
Children ages 5 to 11 pay 75% of the adult price, and children 0 to 4 enter free, but age proof is required. Children over 4.5 ft and under 12 must present ID to confirm the rate.
The child discount does not apply to Optional Activities, so families need to budget for those separately.
Packages save more, but come with tighter limits
Xel-Há’s bigger package savings come from combining parks or tours, not from buying a single ticket earlier.
Those package deals also come with stricter rules. Packages and Xperience Passports are non-refundable, they must be used within 15 days from the first visit, only one park or tour is allowed per day, and the included items are not exchangeable.
Package pricing makes the most sense when you already know you want more than one park or tour and your plans are unlikely to change.
Sale periods worth checking
Seasonal promos can beat the standard advance-booking discount
Seasonal promotions have offered stronger public discounts than the usual advance-purchase rate.
One repeat pattern is a 20% discount, which is higher than the standard advance-booking discount. These campaigns also use separate purchase and visit windows, so check both before you book.
Multi-ticket promos are worth watching if you already want more than one park or tour
Xel-Há also runs larger seasonal offers on combinations and package-style deals. If you already plan to book more than one park or tour, those promo windows are worth checking before you pay the regular site price.
Installments only matter for Mexican-issued cards
Xel-Há’s installment offers change how you pay, not the final price. Interest-free monthly payments are limited to cards issued in Mexico.
HSBC offers the longest terms at 3 to 15 months interest-free. Bancomer, Citibanamex, Santander, Banorte, Scotiabank, Itaucard, Inbursa, IXE, Banco del Bajío, Afirme, American Express, and PayPal offer 3 or 6 months interest-free.
These installment deals are only available when you book through Xel-Há’s websites or Customer Service Centers.
Choose the ticket that already fits your plan
The cheapest ticket is not always the best value, and the higher-priced one is not automatically better.
Xel-Há Light covers park admission and unlimited soft drinks. Xel-Há All-Inclusive adds unlimited food and domestic open bar. Xel-Há Total adds one Optional Activity, while Tour Xel-Há - Tulum includes All-Inclusive admission, access to Tulum, and transfer.
Choose the ticket that already matches your day instead of starting with the lowest base price and rebuilding it with add-ons.
Transportation can change which ticket is the better deal
Transportation is not included automatically on a standard Xel-Há admission. On the regular park ticket, it is a separate add-on, so the lowest base price is not always the lowest final total.
Xel-Há’s package pages say transportation from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and the Riviera Maya is only included if you add it at the time of purchase, while Tour Xel-Há - Tulum includes transfer as part of the product. Transportation also showed up as a separate add-on in the shopping flow.
If you already need pickup, compare the full ticket total against a tour or package that already includes transportation.
